RESONANCE is a European collaboration that focuses on the production, the presentation, the documentation and exchange of experience in the field of contemporary sound art. The network has been active since May 2010.
Sound installations do not have a fixed time frame, do not follow any specified dramaturgical dynamics and rarely display any narrative structures. The architectural, social and historic space is the subject of artistic debate. This location-specific quality links sound art to individual spaces which you can enter and leave in an open time frame. This is why it is very difficult to reproduce sound art at different places with the same level of resonance.
It is this challenge that the artists contributing to the RESONANCE PROJECT address in their own personal way.
June 6th - July 7th. Stefan Roigk - Bursting Confidence. singuhr - hoergalerie, Berlin.
The
RESONANCE projects and activities are documented on the RESONANCE
BLOG, which also invites artists, curators, reseachers and institutions
worldwide to engage in a discussion on the current and possible future practices
of sound art.
For regular updates on the network's activities, follow RESONANCE on TWITTER, FACEBOOK, and subscribe to our MONTHLY NEWSLETTER.
RESONANCE is coordinated by Stichting Intro/In Situ in Maastricht (the Netherlands). Current co-organizers are Festival van Vlaanderen in Kortrijk (Belgium), singuhr - hoergalerie in Berlin (Germany), Lydgalleriet in Bergen (Norway) and Le Bon Accueil in Rennes (France).
